Day1 Post op

Well it is Wed. morning but it still hasn't been 24 hours since Matt has come out of surgery. He looks great and is doing fantastic. A lot of swelling has decreased. He is off the epi and Nipri for all you nurses and his vents down to 30%. The re-profusion to is lungs that we were all worried about hasn't seemed to happen. His x-rays look unbelievable! Matt is a bit squirmy and they are trying not to give him a paralyzing drug, but they had to give a little. So today is more weening off the vent (breathing machine) and trying to keep him still. Good luck to those nurse and doctors. Matt is a difficult one to keep still. Thanks for all of your responses and prayers. H
